Filled to the Brim 2

Watching a news clip on Fox News, a mother was taking a picture of her four month old baby boy and noticed a spot on his left eye in the picture. After looking at several pictures with the same results, she realized something was abnormal. Taking him to the doctor, it was discovered that he had an early stage of cancer in his eye. The mother’s quick response enabled the doctors to diagnose and treat him bringing complete healing.

I am not a physical doctor but I was taken back to the conception of life when the sperm penetrates the egg and thought, what would happen in that process if both parties, husband and wife, knew that they were free from the curse of sin and its effects before conception? What would the results be in having children? Would they have childrenwithout genetic complications? Isn’t it interesting that when you go and get a physical for an insurance policy thequestionnaire they give you to fill out wants to know all about family history? Scientifically we know that our genetics are passed down through our offspring good and bad.

In 1984, Aldous Huxley’s book, “Brave New World” became a best seller. Huxley envisioned a perfect society created by the scientific process of taking the male sperm, injecting it into the female egg then placing it into a test tube watching it develop into a human being. Through evolution, scientists would eventually create that perfect male and female free from any genetic contaminations, thus creating a perfect society. This would surpass the “Survival of the Fittest” theory for everyone would be fit! We somewhat play off thatscenario, but the truth is, that which was supposed to be fiction has now come to pass in our world today. Test tube babies are a reality

However, 2000 years ago, Jesus Christ created a “Brave New World” called the church! By grace through faith we have been reincarnated with Christ Himself. Galatians 2:20 says, “I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. . .His finished work on the cross reversed the curse defying death and placing us back into the heavenly of perfection. The Apostle Paul says that we have been made to sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus. (Ephesians 2:6). This heavenly eliminates sin, sickness, disease and poverty. It is a spiritual place called paradise available to all who believe that Jesus is the Son of God. Jesus is our tree of life.

Food for thought! Is it possible for the church to manifest this utopia of society? Jesus twice told His disciples and the Apostle Paul to partake of the last supper meal we call communion. Two is the number of witness and everything is to be measured by two or three witnesses. How important then would you say this meal is? To be mentioned by Christ two times, one would certainly think that it needs to be taken seriously. This act of faith every day continually reminds and refreshes you of your identity in Christ, a life walking in paradise here on earth.

Is it possible to teach our children the importance of daily communion so that they too can learn that with Christ living in them they are free from sickness, disease, and poverty? That they are free from the curse of sin and its effects? Let’s look at Deuteronomy 6:4-9; “Hear, O Israel: The lord your God, the Lord is one! You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your strength. And these words which I command you today shall be in your heart. (Your heart is your belief system.) You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, when you walk by the way, when you lie down, and when you rise up. You shall bind them as a sign on your hand and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes. You shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates.” The frontlets are prayers to be remembered and prayed every day and the hand is in reference to what we do every day.God says we are to diligently teach this to our children! Thisis exactly what the elements of the bread and juice represent! Every day the family can grow in Christ and be aware of their identity in Him where there is no sickness and disease. As your children grow older and get married with this understanding their offspring carries within them this purity of life developing a church that everyone wants to be a part of. We have to agree then, that it is possible to live in this Brave New World, the Church, here on earth free from contamination!

If Abraham and Sarah had children at the age of 100 and 90, nothing, then is impossible with God! If Mary gave birth to our Savior by Immaculate Conception, then nothing is impossible with God! If you’re facing situations in your life that seemingly have no answers, look to God who declares that nothing is impossible. Remember no weapon formed against you can prosper. I challenge you to invest your efforts into taking daily communion. Not because I do it personally, but because Jesus told us to. You will experience a spiritual phenomenon that can’t be explained, changing your life forever!

Blessing,

Dr. Larry Tolbert
